New look at MultiVersus gameplay for Batman, Superman, Steven Universe, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark and more

Warner has also announced that the game will support a dedicated server-based rollback netcode. Players interested in getting into the beta early will be able to do so on July 19, if they participated in previous tests for the game. Game Informer got to test out the closed alpha where they offer the game "just might be a contender" and the reviewer is "impressed with what I've played so far."

Of course, as in any free-to-play game, MultiVersus has a Battle Pass, which you have to buy for special currency and cosmetic items, which do not affect the combat abilities of the heroes in any way. That is, the monetization here is gentle and does not interfere with enjoying the game at all. We don’t want to size shame Iron Giant, but he’s just too big in MultiVersus. He’s easily at least three times the size of other characters and he feels like it.

Players who took part in it first had to declare their interest on the game's official website. This MultiVersus open beta will be available on the PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as on the PC platform with full cross-play and cross-progression support. Best of all for those who want to take part, the open beta will be free to play, too. A list of characters reportedly coming to MultiVersus includes Ted Lasso, Scorpion, Fred Flintstone, Samurai Jack and Godzilla, according to a reliable leaker.

IGN wrote "MultiVersus may not be a must-play at social gatherings, but its refreshing team-based battles make it a great platform fighter online." Dedicated servers, rollback netcode, and voice acting have been promoted as prominent features, and the team intend to release new content and characters via constant updates. A new clip has been released on Twitter that showcases some new gameplay footage for MultiVersus, the upcoming platform brawler featuring Warner Bros. properties.

Huynh also mentioned that "MultiVersus" will have regular events and leaderboards, so the more competitive-minded players will have something to strive for. The first hints that "MultiVersus" was real came when the official "Tom and Jerry" and "Looney Tunes" Twitter accounts tagged WB Games and announced that their iconic characters were missing. Very shortly afterward, the official "MultiVersus" Twitter account was unveiled, along with the first trailer for the new game.

Despite how much we’ve seen, and even played, of MultiVersus, this is the first official gameplay trailer for the game. In it, we see some of the crazy character combinations possible in this crossover fighter and hear some unique dialogue multiversus gameplay trailer for each combination of ally and opponent. For those who want to play before everyone else during the early access period, you'll automatically be invited if you were part of the closed alpha which took place previously. If you didn't but still want a shot at some early brawls, you can perhaps score access through Twitch Drops.

Publisher Game Informer has shared two gameplay videos from the upcoming fighting game in which we can see Harley Quinn and Batman. Its launch on Steam was the most successful for a WB Games title, and also the biggest fighting game ever released. Complicating these perks further is that they can stack if your partner uses them, too.
